Very strategic location with amazing sea view. The room is okay but need some chair or sofa to sit down. The bathroom was a bit dirty and water won't drain properly on the floor. The bidet was also broken on first try. However, the staff is very responsive and courteous. Breakfast is so-so. Coffee recommended. Good stay overall.
Best location to have afternoon sunset with early dining or coffee. The variety of food is from local and western menu. The price also quite not so expensive comparing with view and ambience. But the food taste was just okay.
They offered several photo spot locations... Viewing Labuan Bajo Sea and Islands surrounding.
They also have hotels in the location.
Lady at front desk, was super helpful. I asked for a lot of help :) Amazing staff.
I dropped my phone at the beach and had issues with my phone. Since phone wouldn't work had no way to book transportation, even to get it fixed. She helped me book it twice (Yes it was fixed and stopped working again)
She helped me three times and with a smile. And on top, she co-ordinated airport drop for my group
I was still getting things fixed and had asked others to to be dropped off first.
Over and above expectations.
such a great and romantic place to spend time with couple and family..
Great view,,, clean,,good hospitality,,, staffs are helpful and friendly,, swimming pool with a nice view... love to see Sunset from my balcony...... overall the place is really good.
We stopped by for an afternoon coffee, and were pleasantly surprised by this café and hotel. The staff, like everywhere on Labuan Bajo, is exceedingly pleasant and professional. The menu is extensive, but as mentioned, we only had coffee.
The grounds of the hotel are spectacular. Well kept, green, and inviting, with a large pool with a bar right next two - well, two, if you count the main bar snd restaurant.
The view from this restaurant and café, as well as the hotel, is spectacular. You get a 180 degree of the town and the coastline and this is be one of the prime locations for watching the sunset. That, however, is also a potential downside as many hotels on Labuan Bajo invite non-residents, against a fee, to come and view the sunset. We really don’t like this practice, but it seems very common here.
When we visited for an afternoon café there was a tourist group leaving the restaurant, case in point. You may argue that we were no different but there is a big difference between a couple and thirty people occupying a third of all seats available.
We have a great time in La Cecile. It really has the best view in Labuan Bajo. Also, every person from the staff was really nice and helpful, they really made sure we had an amazing time in the hotel.
Le Cecile is a small hotel with a very good location in Labuan Bajo.
You have a good view over the bay.
The pool is ok. The tiles are a bit damaged in some areas. There could be more sun beds.
Unfortunately the rooms were a disaster. Very old and in need of renovation. There was a constant smell from the bathrooms and the smell got worse day by day.
The doors to the room and balcony were wooden doors, which unfortunately had very large slits. The balcony door was completely open at the bottom so that animals could get in.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. English was not their strong point.
I was very disappointed with the food. It just did not taste good. At breakfast there was an a la carte selection of 4 menus. This was okay, but unfortunately did not make full.
All in all, there are some deductions. They would have to invest a lot in the rooms.
+ view and garden was very nice
+ staff was friendly
+ breakfast delicious
+ hotel transfer was okay
- the rooms are old and badly cleaned as you can see on the pictures
- the bathroom is very smelly, throughout the time
- there was no hair dryer at the room
- communication with most of the staff hardly possible, because they cant speak english. There were many situations, where they did exactly the opposite than what we‘ve asked for.
- we ordered a portion of french fries and they simply took the price if a main dish where fries are included and left the sea food away. Resulting they wanted a really high price - and didnt even communicate it. We had to ask three times until they’ve actually changed it. If they had communicated the price they want for it before, we wouldnt have taken it.
- only 5 sunbeds for the entire hotel
- wifi there works barely
- air condition extremely loud
- at the restaurants the starters came after the main courses
Over all I cannot recommend the hotel and would definitely take a different one.
