Palacinke with walnuts!!!!! Amazing.

Most authentic Istrian food in NY. Try the Čevapčići (ground mixed meat sausage) The fish here is always fresh, the salads are BIG and for dessert do not miss the palačinke. My fav is with Chocolate.

Winner of Best Istrian in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! The "njoki" is almost the same and it's well known Italian cousin, gnocchi.

Don't miss the whole fish festooned with a pungent parsley sauce, or the Nutella stuffed crepes for dessert.

The bean-and-smoked-meat soup called minestra s kobasicom, and the pint-size skinless sausages known as cevapcici make this former factory in an obscure location a favorite.

Walnut crêpes (palacinke orehi) are the best you'll ever know.

Simple food done right. Their fried calamari is so good it will make you wonder what everyone else does wrong.

Not as good as Kafana in the East Village, but it’s still a very fun scene. The njoki is great
