Been here a couple times, since it is a walking distance from where I live , but sorry, next time I will add on the pics together, Here we go, So my favourite snack is Cireng and Singkong Goreng, since the place is good for chitchat, I always order that two snacks, the cireng is so smooth, and the singkong goreng, is the best, I think you should try it yourself, and comment should you find a better snack than this one
Been here many times, soni can make an Honest review:
Coffee: 4/5 . traditional dark roasted robusta. Rich and full in flavor. Not too acidic or bitter. This is the reason you come here.
Food: 1/5. Tried many of the foods. They are all overpriced or taste bad or bad value. Kaya bread combo not even warm or toasted. Foto shows 2 but give you one. Mie Belitung too sweet and small portion with no meat. Mir ayam is oK but not as good as nearby on street. Nothing is fresh all reheated.
Conclusion: come here for coffee only, the food is astaga or overpriced
Absolutely do not come here:
1. Front door and is dirty, dirty vibe inside too
2. Staff is useless (gets orders wrong)
3. Food sucks and items arrive long after eachother (they served me soft and stale emping)
4. Staff doesn't help when I request my food just use excuse (oh we only have 1 Staff in the kitchen) like that's my problem?
Don't pay upfront if u come here because they will for sure get ur order wrong or make u wait crazy long for food. I would love to get my money back.
Last time I came here was January 2020. Me and my husband thought we have found our hidden gem for cocktails in Jakarta and planned on becoming regulars here. Little did we know that 2 months later, the pandemic happened and we forgot about this place.
2 years later, today, we were back here. We wanted to have the cocktails we had back then but unfortunately only the classic negroni was available. Turned out the barista we had met back then had resigned. Nevertheless the cocktails was superb and the food was great too. Went home a happy customer.
Stuff I ordered here
- french toast: 8/10 it's great although I think the price is a bit too high compared to the portion other dishes you have here. Might be better to use a thicker brioche or add the fruit to add the dish value
- chicken parmigiano: 9/10 marinara and mozzarella tasted great. One thing that would make it perfect for me is additional chilli flakes on the side to give it a bit of a kick
- nachos: 10/10 perfect for sife dish to eat while drinking the kura kura beer or the cocktail. Crunchy, tangy, spicy, sweet, and salty š
- kura kura beer: 8/10 it would have been better if a bit cooler since Jakarta is hot. Other than that it taste great since it's not too bitter and light
- classic negroni: 8/10 if looks could fool, this is a really strong cocktail. It was Gin based, strong and bittersweet. I suggest providing extra salt to reduce the bitterness or you can order their nachos. For me it's the perfect combo
- kahlua tiramisu: had a bit because I was too full, but it was okay. The alcohol ones are in take away boxes
I like the vibe, it's usually not so crowded and chill enough for meetings. Staffs are nice too.
I've been here quite a couple of times. The honey lemon espresso? i think thats what it's called, is pretty good honestly! The cocktail composition is right (not watery and u can reaallly taste the alchohol!). I've only tried the old classic?? Whatever it's called, tho. Excited to try the others.
For me (uni student) the price is quiteeeee expensive, but it's def worth it.
The OG place to visit :P
Nice
Nice place for manual brew coffee
Ice latte, only taste best at the first sip. Bold and confident flavour with cholcolate aroma.
